Brandon Oliver is the sole proprietor of River City Wrestling, LLC. Oliver finished the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy in June 2000. Oliver was a referee for the Texas Wrestling Alliance and a manager, commentator and announcer for various Texas independents. In 2002, Oliver ran his first event under the RCW banner. For the next couple of years, RCW was a spot-show company, running shows occasionally, including the first "Texas Explosion" event in December 2003. Appearing that event was The Great Muta, Satoshi Kojima, Kaz Hayashi, Kazushi Miyamoto, Honma, Arashi, Hernandez, Lance Hoyt (Vance Archer), Homicide, Jose & Pete Lothario and The Spanish Announce Team. In August 2005, RCW began full-time.
Oliver is passionate about RCW, as it is his life. It's his goal to entertain the community, work with various community organizations and charities, and enhance the careers of his wrestlers. Oliver truly believes in the saying RCW Today, RCW Tomorrow, and RCW Forever.
Oliver has always had a close friendship with Hernandez, and managed "The Super-Mex" on many occasions. At first, he managed Hernandez and others to thwart the takeover attempts by Mr. Yebisu and the International Power Station (Texas Treats, Spiro & Fast Eddie) in 2005 and 2006. Oliver switched gears mid-way through the year on July 1, 2006 in a title match between then-champion Hernandez and the popular "One Man" Mike Dell. Dell won by pinfall with help from Ikaika, but Oliver reversed the decision. Oliver then became the manager of Team MEX which consisted of Hernandez, Sicodelico Jr., and the Texas Treats against Mr. Yebisu and his wrestlers such as Ikaika and Masada. The feud culminated in a eight-man steel cage match on Nov. 18, 2006 entitled "Rage in the Cage." The match consisted of Team MEX vs. Ikaika, Mike Dell, Showtime Summers and Masada.
Oliver served as the manager of The Hardbodies (Andy Dalton, Joey Spector & J.T. Lamotta) in late-2006 and early-2007. Despite being hated at first, The Hardbodies eventually gained popularity. On March 10, 2007, The Hardbodies defeated The Caucasian Knights to win the Tag Team Championship. Oliver in the ring dedicated the victory to his daughter. Soon thereafter, Oliver resumed the duties of running RCW.
In 2009, Oliver faced his strongest competition over control of RCW, and even lost it for a short amount of time. The wrestling community was shocked when Oliver tabbed KENS-5 sportscaster Joe Reinagel as the Commissioner at the end of 2008. At first, everything seemed fine until rulings and stipulations seemed to favor certain wrestlers, such as Lance Hoyt. It was all revealed when Lance and Reinagel assaulted Oliver and declared war upon RCW. On March 7, 2009, Oliver made his in-ring debut and teamed with Hernandez and Don Juan against Hoyt, Joey Spector & Andy Dalton managed by Joe Reinagel. If Oliver's team won, which they did, he was to receive five minutes alone in the ring with Reinagel, but Reinagel escaped the building and drove off. Reinagel managed Hoyt in "Loser Leaves RCW" match against Hernandez managed by Oliver on March 21, 2009. Reinagel issued a $5,000 bounty to anyone that could handcuff Oliver or Hernandez so his team could assault them. On June 6, 2009, Ray The Voice collected on the bounty (although Reinagel never paid Ray), turning against Oliver and handcuffing him to the ropes and then stapling Oliver's chest. On July 18, 2009, Reinagel made his first in-ring appearance and RCW became Reinagel Championship Wrestling. On that date, Reinagel won control of the company due to a stipulation in the mixed handicap match between Oliver, Hernandez and Ann Dromeda vs. Reinagel, Spector, Dalton, Pink & Mr. Yebisu. Reinagel even scored the pinfall on Oliver! Oliver then became Reinagel's slave as Reinagel threatened to sell the company. Oliver had to shine shoes, wash cars, clean toilets, answer phones and other jobs under the direction of Reinagel.
Then in the days leading up to Nov. 28, 2009, Oliver smashed a bucket over Reinagel's head, took Reinagel's hand, and made him sign papers that gave the company back to Oliver.
